It was an important event for HPC Gipsy Ministry when on 14th December 2009 we have called the Charity Service into existence. We have done it, because we feel the responsibility to take the command of God as our task, which encourages and alerts us to see and hear the desperate cry of the outcast people around us for help.

Nothing is more precious in this world than human life. The Word of God says: “What good is it for someone to gain the whole world, yet forfeit their soul?” (Mark 8:36). Life is such a treasure what was given to us by the Creator as a gift and we should respect and appreciate this gift. This respect was not meant to relate only to our own lives but to the gift of lives of other people also! But how can we respect this gift: the life? Jesus says: “For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” (Matthew 25:35-36).

The HPC Gipsy Ministry considers it to be important to offer spiritual food and active help to those people who suffer from financial hopelessness and personal needs daily. In the 2nd chapter of the epistle of James in verses 15-17 he writes: “Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, ‘Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,’ but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.”

It is a strong pillar of our commission at HPC Gipsy Ministry to practice active faith in Hungary, in the Carpathian Basin and in several parts of the world to protect life by the means we possess.
